Lois is still smarting from Clark breaking
up with her, even though they still continue
to work as partners there is obvious tension
in the air. Clark feels he's a jinx and it's
better off for Lois if they are apart, not
realizing that their love is something not
even Superman can break away from. Clark
then feels the wrath of the green eyed
monster when an old Irish boyfriend of Lois'
comes back into town, with sinister motives.
But given her anger towards the man she
still continues to ache for, she doesn't
believe Clark's warnings about Patrick
wanting to sacrifice her to the ancient god
of his people.
