"So when were you going to tell me? The honeymoon, our first anniversary? When the kids started flying around the house?"

So, Lois knows everything. Now what? She's mad. Really, really mad and after saying no to Clark's proposal they end up angry at one another. He doesn't understand that everything is so new to her and she has learn to love Clark for who he REALLY is. All Clark knows is the woman he loves turned down his proposal and it hurts more than he thought was possible. Meanwhile, Bill Church has remarried, a lovely young thing named Mindy who was his nurse and now he's turned good. He's buying balloons for kids, giving money to charity, buying priceless works of art because he wants to be surrounded by beauty which is driving his new wife and his son insane. They want power, control, and realize the only way to get that is to murder hundreds of innocent people and frame his father.

Through the help of his parents, Lois and Clark realize their anger comes from fear, not ill will and understand that a major hurdle in their relationship has now been crossed.

"I used to come up here by myself and just...drift. Not part of the earth, not part of the stars, not knowing where I really fit in...until I met you."
