Lois is driving, her car stalls, a big white light engulfs her and she wakes up eleven hours later and it felt like two minutes. So, she thinks she was abducted by aliens, and not the nice ones like Clark.

Actually, it's not aliens but a millionaire computer geek by the name of Bob Fences  who is hell bent on ruining the world, and he has hypnotized Lois into putting herself in jeopardy at specific times because he knows Superman will be busy saving her instead of preventing the robberies he is committing. Which leads Clark to revaluate his relationship with Lois causing him to make the hardest decision of his life.
