Not only does Lucy
Lane's new
boyfriend, Johnny
Corbin, have a
criminal past, but
he's hitting up Lucy
for money. Lois
tries to convince
her sister that
Johnny's no good,
but Lucy will hear
none of it. When
some local
scientists turn
Johnny into a cyborg,
he begins causing
havoc on
Metropolis. And,
since Johnny is
powered by
Kryptonite, even
Superman can't stop
him. When Johnny
kidnaps Clark to use
him as bait for
luring Superman,
it's up to Lois and
Jimmy to save Clark,
but nothing can save
Johnny after a final
run-in with
Superman. One of
the scientists,
Rollie Vale, manages
to escape with
Johnny's Kryptonite,
leaving Johnny
lifeless.
