Lois Lane is an average gal trying to be a
'90s superwoman. Clark Kent is a Superman
trying to be an average guy.
Kansas transplant Clark Kent (Dean Cain) lands a
job at Metropolis' major newspaper, the Daily
Planet. There seasoned editor Perry White (Lane
Smith), teams him up with Lois Lane (Teri
Hatcher), a headstrong reporter who resents
being saddled with a neophyte like Clark and
tries to shake him at every run. But all too
eager to pick him up is Catherine "Cat" Grant
(Tracy Scoggins), the Daily Planet's sultry
society columnist.
Accompanied by cub reporter and aspiring
photographer Jimmy Olsen, (Michael Landes) Lois
investigates the apparent sabotage of the
nations latest space shuttle while also trying
to land an exclusive interview with
Metropolis' most powerful citizen,
mega-millionaire Lex Luthor (John Shea)
Concerned about Lois' continued infatuation with
Luthor and convinced that the communications
mogul is behind the shuttle disaster, Clark
enlists the aid of his parents Jonathan and
Martha Kent (Eddie Jones and K Callen), in
creating a disguise that will allow him to use
his powers without revealing his true identity.
But when Clark makes his debut as the Man of
Steel, rescuing Lois from a near-fatal
catastrophe, he meets his true nemesis: his own
alter ego Superman, with whom Lois falls
helplessly in love, creating one of the most
memorable, ironic, bittersweet love triangles in
film and television history
